Blends Like Quiet Nights?

True but the topping is very, very mild.

I'd also recommend Dreams of Kadath, lots of similar notes to Quiet Nights with no Latakia.

I am a sucker for anything with a name that sounds like a fantasy novel, and this blend looks delightful. I have never smoked plug before though. First time for everything

Cut a slice or two off the plug. You can cut it into small cubes, rub it out or use a grinder to prep it. I favor the grinder myself.

I am on the towers of heaven right now, and WoT has slid into my top slot for favorite fantasy series. I would love to share a smoke with so many of the characters. Some wine and stories with Thom, gambling with (not against) Mat, discussing history with Loial, enjoying Tam’s fatherly comfort, all accompanied by some good Two Rivers leaf.

I do wonder what the Two Rivers Tobac is supissed to be like. I would imagine it is exactly like Robert Jordan’s favorite blend, whatever that was. He was from South Carolina, I believe, so maybe some sort of bright virginia ribbon cut?

I haven't found that to be a problem yet but I don't smoke a ton of plug.

That's what I thought, some sort of a Virginia.

Yeah, it really is a pretty immersive experience. Some of the best characters I've encountered while reading, on both sides.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. Just place an order to try some of each: hh Louisiana red, cd dreams of kadath, cd red carpet, and some sutliff 515 rc, as recommended by another thread. The rest are on my acquisition list for later

Only buy Sun Bear if you want something topped. I can't get passed all the foofoo flavors they put in there. Seems like it would be a great blend without it.

I recommend the va oriental route as well. I feel as if that's the tang you are talking about. My guts say you'll be most happy with that route.

The Visions of Celephais is another good one, but is more heavily topped than Dreams of Kadath.
