Can anyone suggest some tobacco I can blend with Dark Burley? I have some Dark Burley tobacco and want to blend it but not sure what I should blend it with.

How about some red Virginia and a tiny bit of perique? Sort of like C&D's Burley flake. I would personally try a bit of bright or lemon VA, a healthy portion of latakia and a pinch of perique. Why? They are some of my favorite things and sound like they would make a good combo.

If you do go with Perique, don't add to much. If you do, you'll grow hair on your nose.

I must ask two questions. 1. What Burley Blend are you wanting to add to? 2. Do you want any flavoring?

I mixed 1/2 Red Virginia, 1/4 Dark Burley and a 1/4 Black Cavendish. It's not bad but still seems like it could use something else. I don't have any Perique. Thanks for the advice.

My simple blending usually consists of a Burley base, although I use Carter Hall or Prince Albert. My favorite homemade blend is one I call "Fat Albert", 50% Prince Albert / 50% black cavendish. Makes for a nice mild aromatic smoke!

I have some Carter Hall maybe I should mix it with the Red Virginia, Dark Burley and Black Cavendish I already mixed.

Go lightly, perhaps 1/16th. You can always add more. And, always write down your measures. Take my word for it, you will not remember!
