Blending and shredding tobacco

Hey everyone, I’m about to make my own blend using stoved Virginia and Perique. The Virginia I’m using is in fairly large pieces and I would like shred or somehow cut into smaller (not too small) pieces.

Any suggestions?

You might be able to use a cheap coffee (or herb) grinder with only a couple of shorts pulses until desired cut.

I do this often with chunky tobacco and I just use scissors, it’s laborious but it’s my method. For pre-shredded leaf I’m not sure if there are too many options but whole leaf is another matter.

A manual herb grinder will work okay. It's manually powered so you don't have to worry about turning the product into snuff.
