On the subject of tobaccos comprised of various leaves, like Virginia, oriental, and Latakia: Is it necessary or even worthwhile to grab a fair mix of all colors when loading up the bowl?
Or is the flavor and aroma so embedded into the tin that it won’t matter?
Admittedly I have never picked out all the Latakia bits to smoke ONLY those but now I’m curious to try.

Blends are not necessarily comprised of an equal amount of each tobacco variety. It depends on what the recipe is. It your the type that enjoys sorting your MnMs by color mb, but it should be evenly mixed in the tin so each bowlful would be the right proportion. You can buy single type blending tobaccos if you want to tinker around..

It would make for an interesting picture if someone did that with a tin of an English mixture. But you all are right... best to just enjoy it and sit back.

Yes, it's true. Especially when the mixture is composed of sea weed, crab grass, and essence of dandy lion.
