Talking about Blatter pipes.

Those Select Rhodesian pipes are commissions carved by Robert Blatter. The straight sandblast is made in collaboration with Patrick Blatter, they are from this year. The two briar tampers are handmade by Robert Blatter.

I aspire to a B&B pipe, but I couldn't help but notice ... and I'm not saying this by way of comparison or to dissuade buying a B&B pipe ... but their straight bulldog looks similar in design to the Stanwell 32, which is a lovely, light weight, but still ample-bowled version of a dog. I like the 32 so well, I bought two, a smooth and a silk burne.

My father was on a trip to Montréal this past week, and when he got back and I went up to visit my family yesterday, this beauty was waiting for me!



I don't want to speak too soon, especially since I have a new one waiting for me at home, but I dare say this smokes better than my Savs!

Your pipes are beauties and my IMCO lighter, like yours in the 2nd pix, is trying to give up the ghost. I usually light it with another lighter because I bought it 2nd hand 5 years ago and they're tough to find here in the States.

Here's a little Blatter factory pipe I own. It's a small Zulu with thin walls and a delicate stem. It's out for a refurb at the moment.
