Not sure how we went from Black Frigate to Fried Squirrel but BBQed Armadillo is fantastic. And when mixed with a bit of BBQed Goat...nirvana.

I had red beans and dried goat in Riohacha, Colombia. Delicious. Open air 'restaurant' with horse hide leather seats on the chairs. Miss those days...

Not at all. I'm a Brother of The Black Frigate, but I'm still a Black Blood too :: Besides when the ship makes land, you gotta live somewhere. I step off the Black Frigate and head home to a Black House :mrgreen:
I think the Baron of Black House (Baronsamedi) just moved on.

To be honest I usually ignore people's recommendations here - tastes vary so much and tobacco available in the US is not always easy to get here in the UK.
I did make an exception for Black Frigate though as it sounded just the thing I like, and I DID! So I have acquired another half a dozen tins from a friend in the US. I will keep them with my Penzance tins to be used on special occasions only!

You'd probably like Sextant more. A bit fuller bodied, but still in the same type.

I'll give it a try. Much like most of the C&D blends I've tried, it just tastes bland to me, all I taste is hot air and burnt rum. I'm about halfway through the tin. Drying it a bit more has helped. I have 3 tins in total, 1 is half gone, I'll hold on to the other 2 and see if age does anything to it.
I'm a fan of Bothy Flake, The Solent Mixture, PS Luxury Nary Flake, I've whisky soaked some HH Latakia Flake and liked that a lot, so I do enjoy an alcohol topped tobacco. I'll give Sextant a try, thanks.

I've broken it up real well, but basically done a '3 pinch method' like my ribbon cuts.
I'll try a gravity fill with no pressure.

I'm on a hiatus from all pipe activity pending oral surgery and recovery time...could be as much as 8months.
Think of this Stowaway who's temporarily stranded on an island, waiting for the Frigate to return.
