Actually, I read somewhere that Brog actually CHARS the pipes with some kind of a machine.

Unfortunately, I read this before I knew what it means and paid little attention to it or where I read it, so I don't know how reliable this information is...
Also, The stuff in my bowls is definitely coating.. you can actually see it's been painted....

I said maybe charring and maybe coating.. but both ways.. it doesn't affect the smoking or breaking in much.. so enjoy your pipes and worry not :puffpipe:

This is interesting. I remember reading about pretreated pipes while researching. Interesting to see what folks view of coated vs non-coated is and why. Helps me learn a bit more!
