I am currently squirreling away some $$$ for a TAD order soon and Black House is on the list. I wonder since I have a Storient LVC on order, should I use it exclusively for BH?

I am not sure if I am a Black Blood or not yet. I ordered an oz to try with my recent purchase from P&C. It came dry enough to smoke and my whole order reeked of it. Glad the other tobacco I got was tinned. Once good thing about it coming this dry is that my oz nearly fills an 8oz jar to the brim. It has a very distinct old leather, musky, spicy smell. I have had 3 bowls so far and think it is actually growing on me. The first bowl was very spicy/tongue tingly to me but I think I am getting less sensitive to that and noting more of the meld of flavours. One thing I have been able to say since the first try is that it has consistent flavour from first light right to the bottom of the bowl. Being the first English Blend I have smoked, I cannot speak about how it compares to others. In time I will review it more aptly and maybe even join the Society...

Wow! Your first English? Way to go right for the deep end! Latakia blends do have a way of smelling up packages, for sure.

What can I say, you guys have quite the presence on this board and I had to know what all the fuss was about. I also ordered a VaPer that probably wasn't a starter/cross-over blend too. Not to worry, I have many other small and varied samples to try. All are in jars so if something rubs me the wrong way now, I can come back to it later after I sample and learn. I don't regret my purchase, but your comment is reassuring as I do currently find it a pretty extreme departure as only my third tobacco tried. Especially so when the first was CBW and the second 1Q. Black House was what I smoked last night after not having smoked a pipe for 3 days. I enjoyed it more than the first two tries.

That is one of the similar things that I have in a jar that I have not tried yet. I figured they might be pretty similar.
