The White Castle hate in this thread is uncalled for and coming from a place of ignorance.

There is no White Castle in Canada so had never tried it. Was walking through the frozen section one day and low and behold a frozen offering of the mythical White Castle hamburgers. I thought, 50,000 stoners can’t be wrong, let’s try this. They are set up to be steamed in the microwave. To be honest, I enjoyed this broadening of my cultural milieu. It is not prime rib but that is not what I purchased or was expecting. A decent OTC.

Everyone has opinions and when it comes to White Castle I’m adamant that the best method is regular white castles (burger, onions, pickle, no cheese), add mustard. It’s important THEY add the Düsseldorf mustard behind the counter. The ideal beverage accompaniment is Big Red.

They also do one of the best fast food breakfasts. Fresh eggs fried on the griddle with your choice of bacon, sausage, bologna, or burger.
A couple bologna, egg, and cheese sandwiches is a beautiful start to the day.

I do like a good breakfast sandwich and appreciate the finer culinary aspects of bologna. It does sound like a fine start to the day.

Just before the unfortunate World Trade event my friend had an office in the Empire Estate Building with whole bunch of guys. I dropped by one day for lunch which consisted of a White Castle Crave Case. I over indulged and as I sat back in a leather swivel chair with my feet on the desk I let rip one amazing bottom burp. As I did so I lit my Bic lighter and the result was a long blue flame down the side of my cotton khaki pants. People had to put conversations on hold and my chum Richard who walked into the office at that exact moment of ignition to this day says he wished he had an iPhone to record the event. Never been able to repeat that once in a life time moment again despite still loving White Castle. If I could have filmed that it would have made one hell of a product advert or an epic Youtube moment at a bare minimum..

The burger that White Castle is a knock off of.. we don't have White Castle restaurants, we have Krystal instead. We do have the frozen White Castle burgers at the grocery store.

I came here to say that I actually like black and milds... and that no pipe tobacco I've tried is even remotely similar.

However the White Castle discussion has reminded me that I've never tried it. In travelling the world and eating things most people won't even try, I've never had the chance to taste a White Castle burger. It will leave a hole in my heart...unless I get a chance to try them someday. nana

When you're hungry enough, White Castle is good enough. As for cheap little cigars, once or twice a week, if that's all you smoke .... With a nicely turned briar pipe and a premium blend, that's a different proposition.

White Castles are one of those foods that are the nectar of the gods when eaten occasionally, but are not good at all if had more often.
Of course, alcohol totally changes that equation. I haven't gotten drunk anywhere but home in decades, but I do have fond memories of White Castle parking lots at 3 in the morning.

Black&Milds are perfect anytime smokes for high school kids, used car salesmen, guidos, out of touch step-dads, and dudes celebrating just getting out of county lockup.
