Any update on the 2012 Pipe Cleaner Scandal? Anyone get any reply from the company? Are they still taking us to the cleaners?

It's not just the fat, fluffy ones! Because of the restoration work I do, I use gazillions of pipe cleaner and have always used the BJ Long bristled cleaners which I buy by the case. I bought what will likely be my last case of them about a month ago. Skinny and when doubled over, they don't fill up the stummel airway well enough to provide enough friction to clean.
Costs increase. There are no two ways about that. Prices have to go up for a business to continue to make money. I'd much rather pay a bit more for a good product than have the product become significantly less useful. Worst thing is that I think the last batch was a good bit more expensive too.

I am late commenting on this thread, and while this whole ordeal really sucks, I dont use BJ Long pipe cleaners much anymore. My local B&M stocks a brand that I have had a hard time finding online called Bryco, I think maybe they are manufactured by the Arango cigar company. They come 100 to a pack, the tapered ones work EXACTLY the same as the BJ Long tapered cleaners but I can get them locally, and with the quantity I buy at a time, the old guy at the B&M sells them to me for about $.80 for a pack of 100. If anyone can find Bryco cleaners online, start buying those, because I can assure you they are as good a quality cleaner as you used to get from BJ Long.
