Susan made a carrot cake for my birthday.

Our friend, John, gave me a vintage Japanese Tee, Co. lighter:

Susan went with a theme this year, and got me vintage pipe stands. This one seems to be a cigarette ashtray (the black piece is some kind of plastic). Maybe I’ll use this Scotty for a Scottie Piersel I have.

This little gnome guy is pretty wacky. Maybe it’ll get paired with a Brebbia pipe, or a Brebbia Gnome stamped Savinelli.

This Syroco resin stand might be good for one of my Longchamp Pony Hair Leather wrapped pipes.

This Scotty stand came with a pretty old cob, but its sticker is missing, so I don’t know what brand of pipe this might be.

This brass whale stand was listed as a Comoy’s of London. Maybe the Comoy’s Brasenose will fit.

This brass sea captain had me chuckling. What a weird position! Is he waiting to take the pipe? He has an anchor on his hat. I might have to put a Captain Black pipe on/in him.

This might be a third Scotty!

The Captain one might be my favourite. It’s just so weird. I love it.

Everybody is busy congratulating you on such fantastic pipes and stands and rightly so, what a fantastic haul. But may I be the first one to say;

That is a beautiful, beautiful lighter.

Just fantastic. I'm getting slightly emotional the more I admire it.

Well done and happy belated birthday!

Edit: John, if you're reading this, well keep up the good work and we await next year.
