Birkdale Tornado Pipe - Let's Figure It Out

I was rummaging through all the pipes I wasn't going to restore and I stumbled into this:

There is a bunch of unfinished and inconclusive research. There are running theories of it being German manufacturing or it being a Comoy.
Having the pipe in my hands I am almost certain that it's not made in Germany, it being very lightweight and also the sandblasting style. I can also swear I have seen the stem logo before, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was.

Its a nice pipe. You should see if you can get a flush stem fit. The bast is nicer than a lot of expensive pipes.

The stem logo looks like a W. That would support the German Wolsdorf opinion. I see nothing to support a Comoy’s conclusion. Look like a decent quality pipe.

This where I got the Comoy lead, I have also seen multiple examples of this specific blast made by Comoy. Additionally I checked the Wolsdorff's registered brands and logos and there is nothing similar to what I am seeing here.

I think yours is a different Birkdale. Based on lack of Made in England, different font and different stem logo. Different companies. Using the same model names is something that happened.
Or I could be wrong.

I just received an offer to buy a "BBB" pipe and just look at these two bad photos... You can't make this up....
