The price of eggs is my biggest frustration vis a vie avian influenza ,but there are people who have it a lot worse .

From Wikipedia :
"As poultry serves as a source of food security and liquid assets, the most vulnerable populations were poor, small scale farmers.[97] The loss of birds due to HPAI and culling in Vietnam led to an average loss of 2.3 months of production and US$69–108 for households where many have an income of $2 a day or less"

It is very sad to waste food like they have.

Especially when people are starving all over the world.

I think they are trying to kill us……….one trip to a grocery store and look down the shelves should tell you that what they are passing off as food is little more than synthesised garbage. 1st rule of food, it doesn’t come in plastic or a box, any of it. Throw in some pandemics and what has now been proven to be a corrupted medical system by big pharma, yep they are trying to kill us.

Was going to joke but decided to Google - wife bought chicken, eggs and milk today as usual - all safe. I don't personally interact with cows or chickens and haven't read anything to suggest any concern with handling dead or soon to be dead pheasants BUT it reminded me I haven't gotten a flu shot and I'll be attending to that on Monday so thanks for the PSA.

As I haven't had any shots in 40 years, it is incumbent upon me to continue my experiment.

Winter colds, flu and norovirus are sweeping through London and beyond, I'm told. I probably don't have enough exposure to people to raise my risk of contracting these.

Not big on eggs, maybe a dozen a month tops. Chicken maybe once a month. If these products become unobtainable, I'll eat more red meat.

When the monkeypox came out, my consumption of monkeys was unaffected.

This occurred in the area near our house in Pennsylvania. It has been documented spreading to house cats. There were at least a couple of cases in the North America where humans contracted it (maybe even a fatality?) This could be a big problem in the coming year(s) as it mutates. I hope not.

My thoughts are just fuck off.
Is there some thing we’re supposed to groupthink?
Masks, one way lanes in supermarkets, what?
In conclusion, just fuck right off.
Agreed. The news around here have started doing things like reporting on “bomb cyclones” (a windstorm), which ended up being nothing at all and neglected to report at all about a windstorm that ended up killing a few people.

I see it as a pattern of reading things into the world that maybe started out as being sensational for clicks but has since become a self-sustaining attitude of panic because modernity is nihilistic.

I'm with you though, I'm not doing ’the thing’ next time around, whatever they decide its gonna be.
