I picked up a Big Ben Barbados thinking it would be a pocket pipe for a quick smoke on work mornings.
The chamber is deceptively large for a small pipe. However, I love the look and open draw.
My understanding is the Barbados is similar to the Al Pascia Curvy and possibly owned by the same company, just cheaper. It makes sense since mine is full of fills (and so is the Barbados owned by @seanv ).
The rim is virtually nonexistent, which is not a bad thing. I initially thought it was a reverse calabash, but as @Chasing Embers explained, there is no true cooling chamber, which I agree (after having looked closer, not that I doubted the Captain).
I'm curious as to others thoughts on the Barbados. Overall, I think it's a great pipe that looks good (minus the fills) with an open draw that I've come to love.
