BG (Delacour) Swan Neck Restoration

The BG arrived earlier this week and I finished it last night. I found some information in an old thread here on drilling a curved shank pipe, and cited it in my Reborn Pipes blog article. (see link below) I was pleasantly surprised to find it is quite small, under 30 grams. A perfect Christmas season pipe!

On the nomenclature - does anyone know what the visible letters "SEYE" might spell?

Nice job! That's an elegant pipe.
Just a wild guess, but the "seye" might be the remnants of birdseye, before it was rusticated, hence the BG on the stem? That's the only thing I can think of.......

It's in the blog! (not exactly a secret). It was tricky getting the oxidation around the new logo paint (wet paper wrapped around the edge of a micro-mesh pad.

I remember @georged wrote quite a bit about "drifted" shanks, but this one seems quite extreme! Looks absolutely lovely, not so sure it would be easy to maintain in practice.
