Straight grain, dimensional birdseye, and that touch of plateau. Wow!

Chasing, this one really tugged at me for a long time - I was struck from the first moment I saw it. I kept going back to just look at the beauty of it - I find it quite staggering - before throwing caution to the wind and getting in touch with Alexsandr.
Told myself that if it was still there after Christmas that it would be mine - I waited until the New Year - unusual amount of self-control on my part!
I'm really looking forward to holding this pipe and just staring at that grain and those birds eyes.
The hint of plateaux is just marvelous - there is a lightness of touch in his work that i find quite intoxicating.

It's been a long time since I've seen grain like that!

The stain is amazing, and brings up the grain beautifully.

What a pipe! How can you bring yourself to smoke it?!

Lovely pipe! I'm a big fan of partial plateau, and that tiny little bit adds a nice touch. Beautiful grain on that one. Enjoy the heck out of it!
