Best VaPers in Bulk

Bayou Morning has 25% perique putting it on the pretty strong end of the VaPer spectrum. If you find that bland I would strongly suggest John Pattons Cool Hand Fluke which has 40% perique, and I believe it's only available at 4noggins. That is definitely not a bland Vaper. Louisiana flake by G&H is nice too and bulk only.

I expected a more spicy and perique-y ( :D ) type of taste, but I got a superb VA taste, but couldn't fulfill my perique overdose wish hehe. I'll look into Cool Hand Fluke, as I was already contemplating on Lat Junction and the prices are good.

If you're open to the 8oz tins. C&D has plenty of blends available for your perique needs.
Chenet's Cake as well as Kajun Kake both come in 8oz tins.
If you'd like some dark fired thrown in (which I do) check out C&D's - Five O'Clock Shadow.
You said you're liking GLP, one of his best VaPer blends is Triple Play. It too has dark fired, and is a favorite of mine as well. Also offered in 8oz cans.

Night train comes in a bulk brick. To me it has more perique flavor than ps luxury navy.

Prairie Wind is the way to go. McClelland 2015 is pretty crude by comparison. But hey! Make your own mistakes!
There is also 4noggins' Weybridge, a superbly balanced Virginia-Burley mix, seasoned to perfection with Perique.

Prairie Wind and Weybridge are all you need to know in bulk VaPers from 4noggins. :wink:

Upon further reflection, since you're dealing with 4noggins, known for their personal touches and attention, why not ask Rich to dump [ahem] transfer the contents of several tins of your favorite blend into a baggie before shipping it? After all, it's not like you would return a special request blend. If he would do that for you, then I would suggest Brigham's Acadian Blend, Mac Baren HH Acadian Perique, and Lane's 125th Anniversary.

what I'm looking for, if it means anything is a virginia's sweetness, to a limited extent, as a background note and peppery perique having the front stage.

How important is strength of the blend to you?

Fyfol, I wasn't suggesting to smoke it straight, but get some to add more perique to any blend you want. Heck, you could even mix up a special blend to your liking.

Night train is really good and it's a powerhouse of nicotine. 3 friars is nice too by C&D. PS luxury bullseye flake is nice too but a bit milder. Honestly though 100 gram tins aren't going to run your shipping charges up that much, same with 8 ounce tins. International shipping has increments of 2 pounds, 5 pounds, then over 5 I believe is the most but it's express and at least 65$ but probably way more to turkey. If you're only grabbing 2 pounds if it's in tins I can't see the tins adding 3 pounds of extra weight. Plus tins have better quality. I would recommend St. James Woods bt McClellands for an awesome VaPer, it's what got me into VaPers, and it's 100 gram tins

Bayou Morning is quite flavorful and delicious and I start my day every day with it before the sun comes up. Escudo would be my second favorite. With those two you'd be sitting pretty.

supdog, I'd love blending my own stuff, but I'm sure I'll make plenty mistakes and with the customs and all that crap, I'm really stingy with my tobacco
andy, thanks for detailed info, I'll be getting some of the suggested blends here, and see what happens money-wise. I was just more inclined towards bulk.

Orlik Golden Sliced doesn't come in bulk, if it does, I have not seen it. Though it is quite inexpensive. Escudo is arguably the number one Vaper sold. Daughters and Ryan Three sails is a good shag, burns a bit hot in my opinion, it comes bulk. Stockbeye lux navy flake is in my cellar and hits many different notes for a lot of folks. You can bulk buy St James flake from pipesancigars.com. I think it is a good smoke, a little wet in the bag and perhaps carries a little Lakeland flavoring.

Hopefully, I'll have the opportunity to try OGS and St. James flake sometime soon, along with Irish Flake and Dunhill's Elizabethan.
Which brings to mind, how's Elizabethan for a VaPer?

Elizabethan Mixture is smooth and tasty with a bit of a nicotine hit. A Dunhill ribbon cut that loads and burns well. Great after meal smoke.

Prairiedruid, I forgot about EM. Yea that would be a great bulk va/per. Malty and spicy. The top note gets me though, I just can't figure out what it is. It's similar to Briar Fox. I can't recommend C&D Buffalo Soldier enough, the perique is magnificent in that blend, spicy and mushroomy.

Much less sweet than most Va/Pers. A true necessity in any smoking cabinet.
