Best Tobacco to Smoke Instead of Cigs?

My wife is a cig smoker, she smokes half a pack of Virginia slim 120's a day. At 6.50 a pack it is expensive. I smoke a pipe and every now and then she walks by and grabs it and takes a drag and inhales is and says yuck. What would be the best tobacco to let her try with enough nic to inhale and possibly like enough to stop or at least cut back the cigs and pick up a pipe? Thanks for any suggestions.

Angler's Dream. Cheap. Good burley. Smooth smoking. (However, there is light note of cinnamon sugar, so if she is cinnamon-sensitive, this may not be the best bet.)

It pains me to hear someone who enjoys cigarettes say that pipe tobacco is "yuck". Perhaps it's just because of my preferences but man just the smell of cigarette smoke makes me choke up.

Remember though that smokers of industrial cigarettes are addicted to the chemical additives. The transition from good quality RYO to pipe smoking is much more natural.

She is use to cigs. Is there something cig like with the nic that can be smoked in a pipe? From there I'd hope she will try better less nic true pipe tobaccos.

Maybe try Carter Hall or Prince Albert. I think Prince Al is pretty close to cigarette tobacco. You could also stuff a pipe full of American Spirit or Bugler rolling tobacco.

Peter Stokkebye make some excellent RYO tobacco. It would help getting her off the chems.

When you inhale any kind of pipe tobacco, in my opinion it does taste like crap. I know where she is coming from. Next time she wants a hit off your pipe, tell her not to inhale, but to blow the smoke through her nose and to taste the tobacco. Maybe you can get her to appreciate the flavor and get her off the cigs.

Listen, try this: I smoke Prince,Albert, both in the pipe without inhaling, just for the flavor. And as roll ups for a nic fix. Tho more rarely. Try PA. You won't look back. Best way to get off commercial cigs.
