I really can't add anymore to whats already been said but, if I had to smoke burley heavy blends to break my pipes in I wouldn't be a pipe smoker. Heavy burley blends seem to reek havic on my mouth the same way red virginias do to others.
I have latakia pipes and non latakia pipes, and the pipes do the choosing of which they will be. Other than that I smoke what I want in any pipe. Sometimes a little vanilla ghost is an unexpected treat inside of a bowl of Black Mallory.
All pipes have some maintenance to keep them smoking their best. I don't think youll be dissappointed.
