I find the responses to this thread interesting. Not so much because of the suggestions of makers but for the conspicuous absence of a few makers. How soon the pipes that were all the rage a few years ago seem to be forgotten today. puffy

I used to smoke cigars. Still do
You can get a nice pipe for the price of 2-3 premium sticks

The way I figure, if you look after the pipe, it will outlast you.
When you're done with it, there is a residual value.
Great - If you make some money on selling
If you lose some, you still get some money back.
With cigars, once you set fire to it, it's gone.

I buy pipes with the thought that they WILL be smoked
No rack queens entertained
