As the subject says. I've been following the thread on pressing your own cake, and have ordered a noodle press to have some fun with pressing my own blends. In the past, when just mixing some for a bowl, I've used C&D Granulated Perique. For purposes of pressing, I'm thinking I might want a perique that's more along the lines of a ribbon, or some other cut than granulated (which seems to me to be simply 'cubed'). Any recommendations? Even more detailed recommendations like A is more of a sweet one and B is a more spice/pepper one or whatever also welcome. Thanks all!

Type in "perique" at Smoking Pipes and that should give you several options. You can try the several that are available to you to see which works best.

Pipes and Cigars also stocks blending Perique, and their site is more user friendly for finding specifically blending components.

My own stock came from D&R or as direct gifts from Mark Ryan.
