I think the best have been pretty thoroughly covered, but you may want to try Peter Stokkebye 84 Turkish. An inexpensive bulk; not very nuanced or complex but mild, not bad solo and handy to have around for doctoring those blends you are finishing out of a sense of obligation.

Some time back, I was ready to order some Cornell and Deihl with exotic smoked leaves, and in reading the reviews, Oriental Silk was given a very high rating.

I opted for the Balkan Supreme, and now I wonder? Would I have enjoyed the higher rated "Silk"? (I'm sure I will)

I think that Oulette and Pease have the corner on these kinds of blends. I really haven't tried any McLelland's Orientals, so, I am probably missing the boat there.

If I can't get it by the bag for less than $2.00 an oz., I probably won't.
