I have read good things about the Kiribi, but they are not made by I M Corona, which has it's own factory.
At one time, I also had a gorgeous Dunhill Unique that seemed every bit as well made as the Corona, but I traded it and kept the Corona. I also presently own a DuPont Line 1 that was converted to a pipe angle flame by DuPont factory service back in the 1990s. Rarely use it, but gorgeous.
I don't collect lighters, and do not pretend to know all that much about the universe that might be out there. I do not own stock in Corona. Someone I respected a lot, now deceased, swore by Imco's. If I had never used a Corona, Dunhill or DuPont, I would be perfectly happy with my Zippo with pipe sleeve and matches. I had the Dunhill Unique for about 5 years and it worked flawlessly. However, I kept it in a leather sleeve to keep the finish from scratching from keys and other things. I have had the DuPont for about as long as I have had the Corona, and it has required one very costly service job. I have never really worried myself about the Old Boy, just used it like a cheap pocket lighter, and it doesn't look all that bad for the wear.
That is the sum total of my lighter knowledge Just from personal experience, the Corona has been bullet proof for me. The Dunhill Unique also seemed well made. I bought the DuPont used from a friend, and I can see no reason to pay what new ones bring. When I bought the Old Boy in the mid to late 90's, I had absolutely no expectation that I would still be using it 20 years later. But I am.
