I’d suggest the savinelli author, it looks large but it’s light and more importantly has a wide bit which is easy to clench while driving or I suppose writing!

I've not yet met an Author shape that I'd call light!
As to Savinelli, I did not find anything called an Author shape on the site. Closest was below, but it weighs 55 grams!

I second the Musico, Bones, and Briarworks suggestions. Either that or look for a group 2 pipe - good size, and usually under 30 grams. I personally recently bought one of the new Tsuge Topper pieces. It weighs 26 grams and still has a tall, perfectly flake-suited bowl. I love it.

I saw a few posts suggesting Savinelli Author and that is my suggestion as well. However, I would add that since you want light weight, go with the KS 321, which is a slightly "sized down" version of the KS 320 (both are authors).
I primarily smoke cobs, and my 321 author fits in nicely with them as far as size and weight go. Mine's sandblasted, so it even fits in looks-wise :)

Although it's of comparable size and weight to most cobs, the author shape gives it a somewhat larger bowl "payload", so it's a nice addition for some tobaccos that benefit from a wider bowl than most cobs.

Brylon. It's space age pipe material, universally praised in it's day by pipe smokers across the globe. Super light, smoked like a dream. It would still be around if those candy asses in the FDA didn't have such a hang up on asbestos...
