My brother lives in Spain and wants to start smoking. Given the lockdown (he can't leave his town) and the lack of shops around him, he would order online. What are the best EU online retailers for tobacco? I have already compiled a list of pipe sites. Thanks.

I’ve had good experiences with Smoking Pipes EU. Not sure if they have other locations around Europe, but my items were shipped from Dublin, Ireland.

I don't think they sell tobacco over the site, only pipes. I can't find it, at least.

I would advice for your brother to go to Barcelona for Sybarite Pipe - http://www.sybaritepipe.com/en/.
Spanish tobacco is the cheapest in my experience. I bought Capstan Blue for around 5Euros while other places are 10-12euro.

This looks good. Thanks. It is a bit far for him. Does spain have a prohibition of online tobacco sales? There are two stores in the closest city, but no way of telling what they sell (and no way of travelling there).

Tobacco sales online are forbidden. My advice would be to buy abroad on line: Esterval´s and Dan pipe are two good places for tobacco. For pipes, smoking pipes.eu has always served me well. Sybaritepipe is a good shop, located in Barcelona. There are others on line which are good, but he can't buy tobacco.
Where does he live? If I know the area maybe I can direct him to a tobacco shop where they have some variety. Prices are excellent here, but you need to find somewhere with stock. Borkum Riff, Clan, Amsterdamer and 7 seas are usually available. Peterson, Rattrays, Ashton, Capstan etc. are distributed, but not always easy to find.

Synjeco is difficult indeed, though their selection of Gawith tobaccos, and their prices are incredible. They are also the only place I know of which sells Cornel and Diehl, and GLP in Europe. But not EU note.

I've bought quite a bit from Estervals and Motzek in Germany.

In Donosti, there's Cava Nava, who should have a more than decent assortment. They even have a very nice YouTube channel ("Cigar Specialist") and pipe/cigar accessories online shop.

I was just going to recommend this. It is more cigar than pipe oriented, but they are really putting a lot of effort to cater for pipe smokers.
