I have several jars of a 20-1 5100/Latakia mixture cellaring. After 6 months it is already good. After 2 years... Who knows?

Christmas cheer isn't even red va every year, I know 2014 was but it varies every year. 2011 to 2013 was orange Va. I also find this part interesting
The leaves of different crops and regions are combined to maintain consistency from year to year.

So it's not technically a single crop. So McCrannies would be the best bet for a single crop red Va.

You're mis-quoting it Andy. The full quote is:
In various combinations, their flavors, aromas, and textures contribute to overall excellence in our entire pipe tobacco product line. The leaves of different crops and regions are blended to maintain consistency from year to year.
That's to describe the rest of their product line. As for Christmas Cheer, the quote is:
With Christmas Cheer, we treat our discriminating customers to the singular pleasure of a tasting of the very finest in tobaccos of a particular vintage, not worrying about maintaining the flavor and appearance of future generations of this product but actually striving instead to capture the unique character of a single crop and area.
And yes, some years are described as "orange." But most years are "red."

I'm sure it will make some shudder that I love it mixed 50/50 with Carter Hall.
Won't knock you for that one Bob, after I get some 5100, may have to join you with a bowl of that mixture in a Mark Twain cob.
