A few years ago (late 1990s - early 2000s), before I started using the Perique I purchased from Percy Martin, I was purchasing my Perique from several local B&Ms and internet sources trying to find one that was at lease close to what we had in the 70s, Just for Him, Lane Limited from CB Perkins, Sutliff, McClelland and Peter Stokkebye to name a few (most were just relabeled). Never did find one to match but the Stokkebye was the closest. Sutliff was ok. Of course the blends we have today are different than the ones we had even in the early 2000s. I understand that at the time Percy Martin contracted to sell his Perique to Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Co. he was also selling a small quantity to a tobacco company in Europe (Stokkebye ????).
