Cheers to running the just for fun contest. It gave me a reason to check in everyday. It put some fun into the forum. Sorry I had to get someone to shut down the thread when it looked like 1792 had a pretty hard road ahead. Either way, it was never eliminated. Stay golden pony boy

No, they all won. Everybody gets a trophy! 😀

Correction. Everybody gets 1/22 of a trophy, and only by battling each other across 9 seasons of anime that's at least 30% filler episodes will the true champion be crowned.
In accordance with tradition, each blend will be represented by a cute girl who has weird hair and no more than two personality traits.

+ ♾️ Cringle Flake - people are offering $85-90 per tin of it on Tinbids.

- ♾️ everything else

There, I fixed it.

I enjoyed the combat and craziness. Someday we former combatants will walk across the battlefield arm in arm and tell our grandchildren of the battles we fought and the acts of depravity bravery we witnessed. Songs will be sung, and sagas told.

Though I walk through the valley
Of the Gates of Argonath
I’ll fear no 1792
For the Cringle is with me,
And with him I’ll walk
Through a land of Milk and Cookies

I see the 1792 mafioso are straight back to work, dastardly bunch of uncouth heathens, guys I’ve got 60lbs of wet bark cut into strips if you want a replacement.

Next year if such a thread emerges again I should like to offer up Capt Black’s offerings as it has become apparent that the protagonists would have to yield to these blends as they are smoked by all it seems, even though some do so in closets.

On a lighter (room note) note, well done @jbfrady for being brave enough to even attempt such a thing under heavy coercion and personal risk. Time to invest in a proper calculator, one thats attached to the mainframe of NASA and X so you can not only calculate to the nearest 0.0000000000000000001 but also use A.I. to preempt where the voting is heading, get in front of the game so to speak.

Well done to all

Unlike last year, I didn't participate this year, as I've not been on every day or in a position to be on everyday so I watched from the sideline. The times I've been on the forum I would occasionally check in to see who was voting for what. Then I saw the thread take a whole new turn which was unfortunate.

As someone that has run "games" on other forums, it can be very time consuming keeping score etc. Kudos to @jbfrady for taking on the task of trying to do something fun. It's frustrating that someone would take such offense to how the game is going that they result to being a jerk when someone is doing something for fun in their spare time. The game means jack shit in reality. It's one thing to point out a counting error, it's another thing to attack an individual for said counting error when doing something for fun in their spare time. With as many + and - coming in, its easy to see why a counting error could occur. Not the end of the world if an error wasn't corrected, because it's for fun and doesn't mean squat. There always has to be that one person that just can't get over themselves and needs to bring everyone else down because they don't like how things are going. Some people just need to grow up and realize that there is much more going on in this crazy world to worry about a game on a forum. That's just my $0.02.

Not sure how much of the back and forth you actually read before adding your 2 cents here. This wasn’t just a simple error. That’s not what lead to this. I joined a game and played for weeks thinking that it was a fair game. When I started to notice discrepancies I brought it up and it was met with attitude. I then went back and not only found further discrepancies, but the discrepancies were in favor of certain blends and a consistent detriment to others. All 3 daily tallies that were checked had additional minuses to one blend in particular and boosts to a couple blends in particular. This indicates a pattern, a pattern that could only be described as cheating. I returned the attitude that was posted with the same attitude in return. For me and many others, games are fun only when there are rules in place. What this became was what I can only describe as a self aggrandizing story time by the poster/gamemaker, adding and subtracting at his whim and making it up ridiculously as he went along. I was frustrated that I joined a game and played for weeks in what I assumed was be fair. I made the posts I made so that others could see what was going on. If you like, the original posts are still there where you can see the evidence of the extra pluses to a couple blends and the extra minuses to a couple other blends. It was consistent across the board and I would be willing to bet if I went back to the beginning I would find even more evidence. Perhaps you should do a little research into what’s going on actually before adding your 2 cents.

I’m curious if you’re at all familiar with last year’s version of this “game.” Much of its entertainment value was the “story time” that you’ve maligned—it seems you’ve taken things, perhaps, much too seriously, much more than anyone else participating and missed the spirit, playfulness, and silliness of the “game.”

I’m sorry that you felt angered that you wasted time, but you could have just stopped participating and let others enjoy the nonsense instead of derailing the thread and getting it closed. Just my two cents.

I'm starting to become convinced that VDL has never tried drying their tobacco before smoking it.
Being part of the Commonwealth means we have heavy exposure to all things British, this includes tobacco. I have lost count of how many pounds of Gawith offerings I have smoked over nearly 50 years but it’s plenty and so I feel I can genuinely report that Sam Gawith really does go over the top with moisture. The other Gawiths are far more manageable but Sam’s stuff is wet and when you live in a part of the world where it rains 300 days a year you start to see the why I prefer others. I can smoke it and I like it but I only have 60 minutes in a hour and 24 hours in a day and I’d much prefer to be smoking than mincing around waiting for a flake or two to dry out.
