got this one plus 2 others from a Daughter whose Dr Dad had passed. They were all over 100 grade with this one the highest. She wanted 600$ for the three, for some reason she asked if I was a Vet, said I was and she sold them to me for 400$. A piece of History.

Ah, nice! A Hungarian I think would make a nice brother to the two Bertrams I have. One a bent billiard I got at a barn sale for $8.00. My first and only real bargain in the country.

Every man should own at least one boat. For many, one is enough. I miss my wee hole in the water sometimes. Fresh caught shrimp and eggs in the morning on Prince William Sound. Those were great mornings. There were at least three each season but, no more than five. Lotta cold rain in the Sound.
I still like the pipe, good shape and nice proportion.

Sorry I missed this the first time around.
Good Lord. That's a massive hunk of briar, Frogman!
It's also the first 150 I've ever seen depicted. You know the Bertram history and you're on the record for enjoying massive pipes, so I have to ask. How does it smoke?
Do you remember, 3 or 4 years ago, when you talked me through opening the airway on that whistling Bertram billiard I'd picked up? It's become one of my favorites, Bradley, and a pipe I reach for every week. Our friend, Roth, wrote several times about stopping by and watching the activity at the Ehrlich shop in Boston and I always felt that Bertram was the D.C. equivalent.
