Well, the guy who posited that it was wrong to Venturi a pipe is either chicken shit, not seen the thread, or has left the building.

I do this every three or four smokes, and I've never had any kind of burn-out process or overheating of the bowl. If I had seen a problem, I'd wonder about it, and this thread might make me reconsider.
