I don't know what my count is these days on Petes but they make up the bulk of my collection. I'm a Certified Petophile Pete Geek.
With close to 100 Peterson pipes, I have no reason to buy another. And half of the ones I own have not been smoked.
Let me know if those neglected babies need a new home.

I’d be okay if we never use that word to describe Pete Geeks again!

A “used” Pete 305 Standard System arrived in the mail today via eBay, and it turns out it had never been smoked - not a spot on the stem, bare wood in the well, the very faintest hint of factory bowl coating. I just finished an inaugural bowl and am delighted to add this to my very small but growing collection of Petes .

I've probably got about 10-12 Petersons including my latest, an Arklow sandblasted in the 408 shape. Peterson offer a quality pipe in a variety of shapes though I would suggest a through inspection before you buy at the straightness of their drilling has somewhat declined in quality lately.

I probably had 30+ estate pipes of varied brands before really discovering the Peterson system. Now, a few years later, I'll currently only buy Petersons with a P-lip, nearly exclusively bent, and mostly a system; although a Sherlock Holmes or other special item will catch my eye and sometimes slip in there.
I have about 30 Petes in rotation, and 20 or so new in box for down the road.*
I have definitely been bitten by the Irish mosquito.
But I am getting pickier even on those. I'm finding nuances about my preferences that will have me letting go of certain models. For example, I've found a 312 or 307 doesn't generally work well for me.
314's however, are perfect.
*In the beginning I purchased more estate pipes, and often rusticated because I had concerns of various types of damage potentially occurring, like rim scorching, dropping, or whatever. Now that I'm further along the path I've begun buying "newer & nicer" that I'll be enjoying down the road...
Cheers

I tried one 5 or so years ago and wasn’t impressed but I think I just got a dud. I might give them another chance eventually but I am very satisfied with my filterless Savinellis.
