Been absent for a long while

I haven't checked in for a couple years. In my absence, I have totaled a Kawasaki, had 22 screws in my right arm from the accident, acquired a somewhat hard to find Harley XR1200, and became. Wildland firefighter for the state of Nevada. I took a brief hiatus from the pipe, but, with Christmas just around the corner, I have a MM cob and some Yule Pudding going to work with me tomorrow. Still haven't found a poker for the collection, but I'm still looking. Kept my pipes and tobaccos. Most were jarred and have been aging in a large cardboard box in my closet. Recently added my first tin of Fire Dance Flake. I think I'll crack it open Christmas Day. Or wait until New Year's Eve with a nice glass of Sapphire gin on the rocks.
So, did I miss anything important?

I've been "absent" for the better part of my adult life and have no plans to check back in... but kudos to you!
Did someone say Penzance?!

Nice, Hawke! The pipe is a great hobby. I'd say habit, but we all collect way too many of them for a habit. And, I still have yet to try Penzance. My biggest problem here is no local B&M tobacco shop. Closest is Vegas and Reno. Although, being close to Area 51, the aliens may have a hook up on some interstellar leaf.
I didn't plan on being gone so long, but, had a few family issues and then moved to Western Nevada and took a job supervising a bunch of inmates on a fire crew. We can smoke on the job, but these knuckleheads try to get my tobacco. Daily. Had a couple ask if I had more than one pipe tobacco and I smiled and old them 36. Most have only heard of Half and Half or Prince Albert.
But, I love my new job even though I have to get and stay in shape enough to hike 3 miles in 45 minutes with a 45 pound pack on. Harder than you think at 6000 feet above sea level.
