Beard Smell

There was a time when I had a beard, and smoking Pirate Kake, a wonderful smell of roasted herring would permeate it. It also kills beard mites in the rooms and keeps the library free of these book-eating predators.

Looks like a torture device to me.
@Chasing Embers : Just saw you answered the question. I use my Fathers one and it motors along just fine even after 70 odd years of use.
Not being familiar with the cartoons, I had to google Bruce Bairnsfather and "Ole Bill." I got quite a chuckle when I saw him.

Those bring back memories of the shaving tools my dad used.
@Chasing Embers, if you could attach a stem to that shaving cream cup, you could smoke it..... However, it still would not be as big as some of those massive Meers that you have shown on here before.
A shame that you shaved it.... a bit longer and if you had been able to find your "magic wax" and you could played the part of "Snidely Whiplash" and tied the fair damsel Nell to the railroad tracks............. Of course, you'd need a black top hat.
I actually got four of those fairly cheap and had them for many years before I found out they were 1800s German lustreware. When I got them appraised my jaw hit the floor.

I often do a handlebar but my favorite wax doubled in price a few years ago and found out that a school glue sticks give a better hold and wash out easier. Here's a shot from last year.
That really does look pretty good. So, you're saying that is a glue stick you used for that??

I only worry about the residual smoke in my beard on days I wear by big red suit. On those days I don't smoke until after I take the suit off and shower and wash the beard before I put it back on.
I don't even wear cologne when in the suit because you can never tell when someone might have a reaction to it.
