Mike Thompson: I hope I was such a brave man as you are,but tell you what,I'm still wondering today when our mail folks at sorting facility they doing job for our customs authorities, inspecting visually each and every parcel coming from the States or Canada, just in case if the total declared value on the customs dispatch indicating value of contents more that $35 then it automatically goes into declaring process. No matter what are the contents of it, biscuits or peanutbutter,or clothing or tobacco(the worst scenario)
You see, they now doing job for the customs and sending notifications to receivers,in my opinion Tax and revenue dept.is in desperate need of additional funds in form of added sales taxes >meaning prior they release the parcel you are to pay added %24 of total merchandise value, and should they discover tobacco product in the package, then its the receiver to proof that the sender was not registred business seller and if it became obvious than the sender was anything else but privat person, all the stuff is due to confiscation or sending back,in this event no tax nor paid duty would release the parcel from sorting facility. So much for cellaring on cheap, Greets, Paul
