Can anyone help me date this pipe. Barling's make 1421. It has a cross logo on stem that I can't make out.

I might be able to help you date it, but I'll need to see images of the pipe and its nomenclature. Is there a visible stamp on the underside of the stem, near where it connects to the shank? If so, what does that stamp say?

Anything printed on the underside of the stem?

The second pic. shows the Barling cross logo on bottom of stem

The Barling cross is always on the top of the stem. The bottom may have a design registration number or other text. If present this can help date the pipe, although even when they were originally there the remains may be extremely faint and require close inspection.
