I like it. My grandfather and I used to make corn cob and cane stemed pipes.

My question, it appears the bamboo is freshly cut. Would seasoning the material be something to consider?
Green ones turn eventually (long time). It gives you enough time to build the cake. I have another one completely brown in the mail.

Looking like the bamboo version of an Old Dominion, I dig it!

Any flavoring/tasting notes?

Are my neighbors extremely noisy or are those walls super thin!

Be very curious how those smoke
So far I have noticed that they absorb the heat really well! Maybe better than any cob I have. I was even smoking an aromatic to break her in, so it could have gotten a lot hotter. It might be heaven with a good English. Also, when they are fresh, there is a slight bamboo taste added. To my surprise, it was quite enjoyable.

The Karen hill tribes also make pipes out of the "root"/culm of bamboo which look wonderfully rustic.
As well as wholly white metal pipes (?silver) or pipes with clay bowls and white metal stems - as tourist ware, I suspect.
