Balkan Sasieni What to Expect?

I smoked it a lot for about a year, then cellared about 5 tins. After 10-12 months, it mellowed somewhat. A better smoke altogether. I haven't bought any recently, but should I do so, it will be with full intent to cellar it for multiple years, as I am doing with my current stock of it.

I just ordered some myself from 4 noggins. One of my main smokes though is Larry's blend with a pinch of H&H sweet and savory.

and it is topped with flavoring instead of having the true Lat leaf that may not be wise.

I don't really understand this as balkan/english blends are made without flavorings. It's not like latakia is expensive or in short supply so I doubt they'd advertise latakia in the blend and use latakia flavor instead.... I can't think of the concept of a balkan flavored topping or an english topping when the whole point of these blends are to use natural flavors.

There is a balkan sasieni light which has a vanilla topping though.

Just because a tobacco is not strong does not mean it is not good .It just does not have that rich sooty taste of a Latakia powerhouse and I doubt that it stoved twice ,first without and then with .And one must understand the effect age has on tobacco all these tins are young ,give it some time .Good price ,good flavor and a good value these are the days . :puffpipe:
