Always wanted to be those big round rustic breads. Finally did it x) Flour, Water, Salt and Yeast was the name of the book. Easy to follow instructions, and some background info. Burnt on the bottom, but figured out how to prevent it. Lodge cast iron dutch oven was a nice x) This was my first bread.

I’ve tried my hand at baking bread for about forty years now, and I’ve never came very close to Bunny Bread.

How Bunny Bread always gets a soft, white, incredibly tasty and long lasting bread I’ve never been able to understand.

Ground chicken feathers is the magic ingredient, so it's said.

Looks great keep going.
My dad is the master bread and pie maker. He's always dabbled, but sinse my mom died in 2021, he has become quite the baker. He makes all sorts, but Limpa Rye is his masterpiece. We used to grow a hybrid cereal rye for our livestock. But due to my dads rye bread making, we switched to a Winter rye. He likes it better for his Limpa, sourdough, and Pumpernickle.....the animals dont care.
He also makes a mean peanut butter pie. He always has them ready to go in his freezer. :)

I've only made sourdough but it's been great making bread both myself and my family enjoy. Lodge Dutch oven is perfect for it. Actually need to make some today.

after we started making home made bread I can not imagine how much cash I've wasted on inferior bread over the years. That loaf looks lovely by the way. Fun thing it gets better too as you figure things out. I'd eat the hell out of that loaf by the way.

My late wife did most of the baking back when. Now I mostly make beer bread, sometimes called 1,2,3 bread as it has only 3 ingredients: one 12 oz. can of beer, two tablespoons sugar, and three cups of self rising flour. Super simple, I just use the toaster oven, and there's a lot of experimenting and adding of additional ingredients if you like.
