Just a bit of vanilla. No way overpowering.

Bagpiper's Dream is a Virginia that consists of several different cuts; ribbon coins, broken flake. It has a cognac topping and the most delightful smoke you can imagine. Easy to light and stays lit and the room note is very nonsmoker friendly. I always have at least 3 tins on hand. Highly recommended.

We were hit with a blizzard here in NY. I was snow blowing the driveway with wind gusts of 20-30 mph, the snow was blizzard conditions, and I was blowing snow into the wind most of the time. So my face and my cob loaded with Bagpipers Dream was covered in snow...But the cob and the Dream never quit on me. My neighbor who was blowing his driveway yells to me. "Frankie. What'a'ya smoking? Smells Good!

For those in the know, how does this compare with Smokers Haven Cognac?

No idea about the SH blend but I can tell you that the quality of BD is superior although it does not have any latakia in it. There are other blends with cognac/brandy that I enjoy as well C&D USS Mason is in my rotation. It does have latakia in it and that's in my wheelhouse as well.

I think if you give Bagpiper's Dream a shot you'll be very happy. Everyone I ha0ve sampled with it has been very happy and added it to their cellars.

That's exactly what I got my dad for xmas... Bagpipers Dream + A Elf Cob Pipe... he is still enjoying it.
Where in NY was your Blizzard... my pop is in Ithaca...

Wonderful stuff. Bagpiper's Dream is one of my favorite blends, and I always have some on hand. I believe I'll make it my morning smoke. I'm off tomorrow and at 3 am right now, I'm way past my bedtime. So... grabbing my jar, setting aside my pipe, and it will be waiting for me in a few hours.

That might be my favorite aromatic. The smells that come when somebody else is smoking it reminds me of a Xmas tree.
