Bad Breath

+1 On the new girl, mine hates it but, never says a word and occasionaly asks for a puff only to realise how disgusting it is to her again. She usually just makes herself scarce and deals with the bad taste/smell because she knows it makes me happy. I would just say it makes me happy, deal with it, personally.

Smokers breath is nothing compared my breath right now. I just had 4 wisdom teeth removed. My breath is nasty.

When your girlfriend says she can still smell smoke, does she mean specifically your breath? Tobacco can linger in a person's hair and clothes, so you may still smell smoky after brushing your teeth (and if you keep your smokey clothes in a small closet or drawer, the smell can transfer to the rest of your clothes.)
For the breath, I have a routine that works very well. Besides regular brushing, I do the following about 3-4 times a week:
1) I first use Oral Breeze http://www.amazon.com/Breeze-QB-QuickBreeze-Dental-Irrigator/dp/B000H68J2S/ref=pd_sim_hpc_3 There's absolutely nothing better for getting at the root of bad breath - which is often caused by decaying food particles stuck in-between teeth and gums that were not removed during brushing and regular flossing.
2) Then brushing with a sonic care toothbrush
3) Follow up with tea tree oil mouthwash

If I may add.
Another thing that can get rid of odor very well is citrus. Try drinking lemon or lime water a little bit after you smoke. Just squeeze fresh lemon or lime in you water. You get hydrated and the odor is killed. :mrgreen:
(Side note: This also helps if your microwave has an odor that won't go away. Slice lemons (preferred)in a microwave dish with water and cook for about 2 min or so. Works every time!)

If you smoke, your girl will notice, particularly if she doesn't smoke. All the breath mints, mouth wash and tooth paste in the world won't remove it entirely. That is one reason why I typically smoke in the AM. I don't like breathing smelly pipe breath in my wife's face.(she's a non-smoker)

What? I have to say, I've smoked for a while, no one has ever said anything. Not the woman, friends or coworkers. I just practice good hygiene, and I have never had a complaint. What are you smoking
