Tomorrow is the day. I've been out of work since the end of May due to surgery, I finally got a full release this week. I started smoking a pipe during this time off. Now I'm just kind of curious how I will be able to smoke a bowl or two during the work day. I will figure it out, I just can't wait to go back to work. I guess I will also have to wait for the evenings to scroll the forum.

I keep a small bowl pipe at work which I then only fill about 3/4 of the way to enjoy about a 15 min. smoke during lunch breaks. You could also pack a full bowl smoke a little and then let it go out and enjoy the rest later. Good luck going back to work.

tre123, if you are able to handle stout blends, I would suggest picking up some of the new Mac Baren HH Old Dark Fired when it becomes available again. I have found that it doesn't suffer from utilizing the "DGT" technique, and even retains it's flavour profile without a ridiculous increase in bitter notes when said technique is applied four or five times on the same bowl.

Welcome back to the poor working stiffs....glad you're feeling better.
This is one reason i picked up the pipe, you cannot relight a cigar.

So how'd it go? Enjoy going back as much as you thought you would? Hope it was a good day for you.

Glad you healed properly and are back into the swing of life.
I mostly enjoy my pipes after dinner but occasionally sneak in a small bowl at break times.
Hope your first day back was great.

Work went well, like I never missed a step.I took my cob to work and it did fine. I work 100% out doors but with my hands so i had to resort to smokeless once or twice. Clenching isn't quite natural for me yet.
