My avatar is a classic painting I found online. Embarrassed later to learn that it was used by Ed Green, our resident expert on artwork with pipes. He selected a new one as I was offering to change mine to something else. A good guy.

it's not just a name, not a demonic reference, it's how I live my life, unconventional, out side the box, not within the social norm
Mine is sorta a combination of things. I've been referred to as "sasquatch" or "bigfoot" for many years by friends. So when I first joined a PA fly fishing forum, it seemed natural that my screen name be, "The Sasquatch". Then, many of my fly fishing buddies started referring to me as "the reverend", "reverend 'squatch", "reverent Sasquatch", etc. This is due to the fact that as long as some of them have known me, I've been in college and now seminary pursuing "the ministry". I'm not a "reverend" yet (just a pastoral intern), but the name kinda stuck and I kinda liked it. "The Sasquatch" was already taken on this site, so I went w/ reverendsasquatch.

Mine is simply my name, Anthony Rosenthal, and the year I was born, 1974. Doesn't get much simpler than that. My avatar is just me with one of my Nordings stuck in my ugly mug. I have a full beard going on now though, so I might update it.

Not that I take astrology seriously; Ochiuphus is the 13th zodiacal sign, not used in the west, and encompasses my birthday. It just looks cool in print.

It is me smoking a cigar on the avatar, the photo was taken few years ago, I don't have a good photo of mine smoking a pipe so had to use this one instead. My name is Javanshir and my screen name is just my name without the vowels. Whenever you see jvnshr, it is me all the time (social networks). Javanshir was the name of a Caucasian prince by the way. Javan means young and shir (you may remember shirkhan) means lion, so I am supposed to be a young lion. I guess I should find a picture of a lion smoking a pipe and make it my avatar 
Javanshir was also name of my youngest uncle who died just before I was born. So grandpa decided that I should take the name. My dad always says that he sees me as his son and his brother, makes me proud of myself.
