Avatar? I give up!

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not. I had one avatar on my profile for a while and it never showed. So, I added a different one just now and I still can't get it to show in my posts. When I go to my profile, it does show there, as it did before.
Any ideas?
I really want to get it up there, because I don't want to be accused of being one of those "Lazy People" as Kevin called them in a post a while back.
