Two months in shipping from states to UK??? I get stuff from EU and usually 1-2 weeks regular post. France Denmark and Ireland most recently. Maybe the east to west headwinds slow it going your way??

Customs are pretty tough of tobacco, and may even just confiscate it out right. It's possible that if someone sends it, and doesn't say it's tobacco on the customs form (maybe bundle it in with other stuff), they won't check, but I think their job is to be a pain and you'd be taking a risk doing this.
It might be easier and cheaper to just fly to the US and make a trip of it. You can bring in 250g per person of tobacco without declaring it, which in pipe tobacco terms will last a fair while, and you'll be saving on the tax depending which state you went to. The only downside would be all those damn yankees.

The upshot seems to be that, if you are willing to be patient and pay the required fees, then you actually can order the tobaccos you want.Lets try this way eh?
