Until I scrolled the pics, I was thinking "what, how's that less hassle than just regular loading". I see now it's meant to mount to the dashboard of a car for one-handed loading while driving.

The pic on the front was confusing until I saw that, now I see it's a car dash.

In the semi-rural NorthEastern USA
unfortunately it works by the driver violently swinging the steering wheel from one extreme end to the other repeatedly until the pipe is filled.
That's awesome I love the weird car dash accessories that have been marketed over the years. My favorite one is this scrolling map that is utterly useless. It basically hooks up to the odometer and scrolls only one axis. If you are driving north and have to go east (or west) you need to put in another scroll and make sure it's in the right way and aligned with your current location. Not a big seller at all.

also seems like until you got used to it that it would actually be more distracting then just packing the pipe. And I know it would clog easily if the wrong blend was used or just would.
Also feel like you can know certain products failed because they don't work right, simply by the fact they're not common in some form or other. And automatic pipe loader would be a profitable accessory if it did a decent job. What new pipe smoker wouldn't love that....

You can tell that's old by looking at the dashboard. Mounted right under the AM radio. Cool little gadget.

Per the box, it loads and tamps. There used to be automatic liquid loader for the vaping. I couldn't handle that. I wonder how this exactly works. I don't have any problem looking at pretty girls driving next to me and going straight. But trying to get the god damned vape juice into the thing was hell.

Imagining a time when pipe smoking was "normal" is a glorious feeling.

I used to have one of those plug-in pipe holders under my dashboard, and still have a few in a storage box.

Fast forward to an age where drugs of every kind are legal---talking about you, Vancouver, BC---but tobacco is illegal and categorically evil---feels like an early days Saturday Night live skit.

On a one-to-ten scale of harmful, tobacco is maybe a 1.5.

Hell, idiots trying to drive their cars while texting is an order of magnitude worse in a "total damage' sort of way.

I'm truly glad I'm aging out when I am.

George, you've got to let go of the burden of objective standards and reasoning. Don't you know those are all based on old, debunked, bias ideas?

You must free your mind from such notions that are nothing more than obsolete social constructs. You'll find it so liberating to just let go, and simply ride the tide of the new reality-optional subjective currents.

Syme, how’s the Newspeak Committee coming along?

"Working overtime. Plusbig waste is in adjectives. Plusbig problem is timing the language to scientific advance. It’s a beautiful thing, the destruction of words. The tenth edition of the Dictionary is two inches thick... the eleventh edition will be one inch."

So the Revolution will be complete when the language is perfect?

"The secret’s to move from translation, to direct thought, to automatic response. No need for self-discipline, then. Language will come from the basal ganglia, not the neocortex."

You’re saying that we’ll be rid of the last vestiges of Goldsteinism when the language has been cleaned?

"Absolutely. It will be glorious!"
