The diameter of most Savinelli 320s that I’ve seen are in excess of 0.90”, which is a fairly generous diameter. Is yours smaller?

Based on viewing eBay auctions, the author shape seem to draw the most attention and higher asking prices.

The short 999 look nice, but f they didn’t have that “bulldog “ ring.

Pershaps for me, the Peterson 408 hybrid is superior to the classic author.

My theory, half-baked or not, and not original with me, is that the broader chamber on the author, prince, and some other shapes gives wider play to four, six, or more constituent tobaccos in a blend, allowing more of all of them to be active in the ember at once, giving a better showing of the blend as a whole. I can't prove it, but it has occurred to me with more complex blends in broader chambers.
