I went through something similar myself about two months ago. Had a hell of an infection in one of my back teeth and had to put off for about 3 weeks. Honestly, I was so miserable that smoking didn't really appeal all that much to me anyway. I think my smoking habits have reduced quite a bit ever since that happened just because of the reminder of how damn bad it hurt. For instance, this will be my first bowl in three days, and I'm not gonna finish it all. I might finish it tomorrow but in all likelihood Ill probably finish it Friday morning.

Pipe novelist I was building a small cabinet, misplaced my hammer, emptied my 320EX, turned it around and finished driving the finish nails, turned it around loaded it up, fire in the hole, and started staining the cabinet. LOL. The old canun

Looking at my 320 ks and ex they seem to be about the same size chamber. The ex seems to have a bit more briar. Looking at various model's specs online they appear to be generally close to each other bowl size-wise.

If you like it that is all that matters. I've always wanted to try a Savinelli and I am on a very strict budget so a 320 seems perfect.

Looks like an Author to me!
There is a nice Sav 320 KS on Ebay now, goes off in 10 hours, still priced OK.

I have only one true Author shape, this old Digby. A Comoys or true GBD 9242 in this shape are on my dream list.

Most savinelli's have that. In my experience (about 10 Savinelli filter pipes), they smoke equally well with or without the filter adapter in place. Sometimes passing a cleaner is a little more difficult with the adapter in place. I throw out the filter that comes with the pipe and said pipe never sees a filter again, sometimes the adapter goes in, sometimes it doesn't. IMO the balsa filter just gets smelly and nasty and prevents passing a cleaner with no upside.

I've never used a filter so it probably won't matter to much to me either. I love brebbia but at the same time I don't really have anything in the same price category to compare it to.

Here is a pic of my brebbia before I restored it.
