Auenland Stopfer

Does anyone have the Auenland Stopfer? Its pricey (at least in US) for a pipe tool, but it looks great. With this community's fantastic help, I just bought the Auenland Eron and the tamper seems like itd pair nice with it on the shelf. But I can't find a single review, or any mention of it. All I can find on it are product pages. Anyone have hands on experience or know much about it?

I have heard good things. And Vauen makes great pipes that smoke great for the price point. So I imagine it's going to be a very decent pipe.

A tamper is a tamper. Plain or ornate, it tamps the ash. It'll do no less than a pipe nail but will accessorize the pipe nicely.

I have a few custom pipes that came with matching tampers which are great to look at, but are never used as I prefer my cheap Ceczh pipe tool

I’m surprised how ordinary it looks. If it were an orc tooth or a cave troll pinkie I would consider it.

I don't like it that it has a flat bottom. I prefer tampers with concave bottoms as they make it easier to scrape the tobacco off the chamber's walls and push it towards the centre/cherry.

I ended up going with a hand forged pipe nail from etsy. It even looks like it belongs in middle earth.

Something like this—having the combination of wood and metal—as well as a concave bottom—would also be not unsuitable for an Auenland pipe:
