It looks the right size (the one in the pic is a relatively small pipe) and general shape, but the rim of the pipe in the pic has a flat rim with a sharp edge whereas the Chacom-Reybert #1930 has a rounded rim and edge. I think you're very warm though. It's a rather unusual shape and size as modern pipe smokers seem to prefer larger pipes so that smaller new pipes are harder to come by.

Maybe a chacom reybert 1926 as suggest here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PipeTobacco/comments/1510wax/_/js6m7yp

Thanks very much, @Butter Side Down, @mingc and @davidka, for your input. As a newbie in the forum, I was half-expecting to be shot down for expressing a wish to "wear" a pipe as an affectation just because I saw one in a film, but there was none of that! From what I can tell from this page –

– the Chacom Punch #1926 and #1930 are identical, except that the former is blue and the latter is brown. Even if the #1930 isn't Augie's exact pipe, it's close enough for me, and moreover I think it's beautiful in its (almost Magritte-worthy) elegance and simplicity. I went ahead and ordered one of those; it's currently puffing its way over the Channel to me.

I feel like Wes Anderson ran out of ideas 2-3 films ago and just falls back on his over stylized, style, to make up for anything that approaches a compelling story that isn't somehow nauseatingly derivative of his earlier work. The trailer for Asteroid City was enough to know that this would be just another Wes-fest of overly considered wardrobes and sets with not much else under the over-preened exterior.
This spot-on description made me not going to see the movie.

Bottle Rocket is the first one. Which is really great but the least Andersony of Wes's movies. It's much more of a traditional comedy. Sure there are some big hints of his style. For example the colors are over saturated but in a way that still looks natural. The second one was Rushmore which apparently is semi-autobiographical. I think the Royal Tenenbaums is the third.
If you care IMDB should confirm or deny this.
Rushmore is a love story for anyone that went to school between 1970 and 1999 and felt out of place and unusual while there. I loved it. Still do.

In the semi-rural NorthEastern USA
Rushmore, will check it out.
If it doesn' feel like a wardrobe show I might watch till the end.
it's kind of a great movie. In a way it's very much showcases why indie movies are kind of needed. And the weirdness is just the weirdness of starring a nerdy intelligent sorta mature teen (well the role, not sure how old the actor was).
