@Ahi Ka , was sad to see the NZ women go out. Are you watching it?
Yeah bro. Watching most matches. We were most gutted to see South Africa and Japan bow out. Really enjoyed watching their style of footy. Looking forward to the semi on Tuesday, Spain v Sweden. That’s the final in my opinion.

In regards to the ferns, it’s a shame they didn’t progress, but I think they achieved what they set out to do and that was inspire the country. They left the competition hopeful, rather than getting served in their round 16 game.

It’s amazing to see sold out stadiums here. There’s actually better turn outs some nights than for when the all blacks play.

Absolutely no interest whatsoever, otherwise 😁

The most entertaining thing about Kickball is the "OMG you just killed me!" flop tradition.

Ozzie football? Mega-studs. American football? Definitely tough guys (though not outright insane like the Ozzies.) Boxers? That's the entire point.

Hell, even baseball has a strong "walk it off" macho vibe.

Kickball? Not so much:

Premier League kicks off tonight!
With my team playing tomorrow, I remembered a danish friend who once told me about a long gone danish blend. Such was the quality of the tobacco, that the blender named it after Englands best ever team, because he said it was ‘as good as the arsenal’.🙂

I never got to try it myself, although being a danish blend it probably wasn’t all that special, to be honest. Lol . Anybody here ever seen a tin or even smoked it?

Regardless, if you follow the footy I hope your team team does well & who knows, one day they might be as good as the arsenal too.😁

That Bergkamp goal never ceases to amaze me, as well as wonder quite how he did it. I am not the biggest football fan, however my father and brother in law are big magpies, so they are very familiar with this goal.

You saying you fancy spurs to finish on top of the arsenal?
I’ll have a piece of that, what we betting?
Honestly bro, we know that the spurs aren’t gonna come out on top, but a man’s gotta believe in something.

It’s been a long time since I’ve followed the league, and the only updates I regularly get are from my mate who is a die hard Everton lad.

Originally I was a Chelsea supporter, but after noticing that from the guys who I used to play footy with the biggest wankers were arsenal and Man U supporters i switch my allegiance to the hopeful bridesmaids, the spurs and city 🤙🏼

Dennis was a special player. His goal against Argentina in the 1998 World Cup was one of the all time greats. If anything, the Dutch commentator underreacted.

I'm no footie expert or even a footie fan (though I did enjoy watching England in the world cup) but this idea of taking penalties to determine a winner seems a bit unfair to me.

I've just read that yet another match was determined by a penalty shoot out (Australia v France), why don't they just play on in say 15 or 20 minute segments until one team scores a goal? I'm sure the fans would prefer that.

Regards,

Jay.
